An experienced M&E Surveyor is needed in Birmingham to carry out mechanical and electrical surveys, assessing existing building services and recording information for future maintenance or refurbishment works.
You'll be responsible for collecting reliable technical data, identifying issues with installed systems and producing concise reports that clearly communicate your findings.
The Role
As the M&E Surveyor, you'll:
- Complete mechanical and electrical surveys at allocated sites.
- Document plant, equipment, system arrangements and capacities.
- Identify maintenance defects and potential compliance concerns.
- Highlight system limitations that may affect proposed building works.
- Prepare detailed survey reports and practical recommendations.
- Work with site contacts to arrange access and clarify existing information.
About You
To be successful as the M&E Surveyor, you'll have:
- Demonstrable experience surveying mechanical and electrical building services.
- Good technical knowledge of building plant, equipment and infrastructure.
- The ability to prepare clear and accurate survey documentation.
- Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to site assessments.
- The ability to work independently and meet reporting requirements.
- Ideally, a full UK driving licence.
