A Project Manager is required in Southampton to oversee fit-out and mechanical and electrical (M&E) works within a manufacturing environment.
This is a long-term contract opportunity with the potential to become permanent, offering hybrid working and a five-day working week. You'll be responsible for coordinating project delivery, managing contractors and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
NEC contract experience is essential for this position.
The Role As the Project Manager, you'll: - Manage fit-out and M&E projects within an operational manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and specialist M&E teams throughout project delivery.
- Oversee project programmes, budgets, milestones and delivery schedules.
- Administer and manage projects under NEC contracts, including change control and contractual obligations.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with health and safety requirements and site procedures.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders and technical teams to maintain effective communication.
- Oversee project reporting, quality standards and successful completion of works.
About You To be successful as the Project Manager, you'll have: - Essential: Proven experience managing projects under NEC contracts.
- Previous project management experience within construction, fit-out or M&E environments.
- Experience delivering projects within manufacturing, industrial or operational facilities.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
- Experience managing contractors, budgets, programmes and project risks.
- Good knowledge of construction health and safety requirements.
- Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver projects to agreed deadlines.
