The successful contractor/operative will inspect approximately 6,000 internal-access windows throughout the hospital estate and undertake repairs where required.
The primary scope of works includes:
- Inspecting opening function of windows
- Identifying windows that do not open to the required extent
- Repairing defective window closers
- Replacing faulty cavity closers where necessary
- Ensuring windows operate safely and correctly following repair
- Recording completed works and reporting any additional defects
Site Details
- Large hospital / healthcare environment
- All windows accessible from indoors
- No external access equipment required
- Work must be carried out safely and with consideration to clinical environments and hospital operations
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Previous experience repairing commercial or healthcare windows
- Experience with window restrictors, closers, and cavity closers
- Good fault-finding and repair skills
- Ability to work independently across a live site
- Awareness of health & safety procedures within occupied buildings
Contract Details
- Estimated duration: Approximately 6 months
- Rate: Around £180 per day
- Full-time ongoing work available
- Immediate / flexible start available
Preferred
- DBS check (preferred but not essential)
- Experience working in healthcare environments
