Our client is seeking an
Extra Works Supervisor to join their dedicated team. You will be the bridge between identifying a maintenance solution and delivering a completed project, ensuring every stage is backed by impeccable admin and clear communication.
The Role As the
Extra Works Supervisor, you’ll:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of small works, managing projects from the initial remedial report or client request through to completion.
- Identify technical solutions, determining whether works should be completed by the internal team of engineers or via external subcontractors.
- Lead and guide onsite teams, using strong communication skills to drive performance and maintain high standards.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, adapting your approach to ensure external partners deliver on time and to specification.
- Prioritise administration, providing detailed updates to the Operations Manager and ensuring all project paperwork is accurate and up to date.
- Finalise and sign off works, taking responsibility for the quality and compliance of every project delivered on-site.
Your Skills To be successful in the role of
Extra Works Supervisor, you’ll bring:
- A strong background in Hard Services, with trade qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, or Fabric maintenance.
- Proven experience at a Supervisor level, whether you are an "up-and-comer" or an experienced lead.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to lead internal staff and manage external contractors effectively.
- A "safety first" mindset, with a deep understanding of trade-based risks and solutions.
- Outstanding administrative skills, with a commitment to keeping records and stakeholders updated.
- Flexibility: The role is Monday–Friday (8–5), but you should be open to occasional out-of-hours work when required.
