A Variations Manager is required to manage variation requests and lifecycle works across construction and facilities management projects in Manchester. You'll act as a key link between clients, contractors and internal teams, keeping projects moving through assessment, approval and completion.
The role combines commercial awareness, project coordination and stakeholder management, with responsibility for reviewing contractor proposals and maintaining accurate project documentation.
The Role As the Variations Manager, you'll: - Manage variation requests and lifecycle works from initial submission through to close-out.
- Review contractor proposals, identifying technical, commercial or documentation queries.
- Coordinate clients, contractors and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Manage project documentation, meetings, site visits, final accounts and completion records.
- Maintain accurate project trackers and records across SharePoint and associated systems.
About You To be successful as the Variations Manager, you'll have: - Experience within construction, facilities management or project support.
- A good understanding of variation management, construction processes and project documentation.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent organisation and stakeholder management skills.
- Confidence managing multiple projects and working directly with clients and contractors.
- PPP/PFI or lifecycle project experience would be advantageous.
