Job Title: Hard Facilities Management Estimator
Location: London Hybrid 
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

As Hard FM Estimator, you’ll be responsible for developing cost estimates for a range of services, including mechanical, electrical, and fabric maintenance works. Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors, you’ll contribute to high-quality bid submissions and support the business in maintaining a strong pipeline of work.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive works, and small projects.
  • Reviewing technical documentation, specifications, and drawings to inform accurate pricing models.
  • Collaborating with the bid team, commercial managers, and operational leads to ensure all estimates are aligned with business strategy and client requirements.
  • Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive and reliable pricing.
  • Producing clear and comprehensive handover documentation for operational teams post-award.
  • Monitoring market trends, pricing, and labour rates to ensure competitive, up-to-date costings.

What We're Looking For:
  • A proven background in estimating within hard FM, building services, or a similar technical environment.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building fabric maintenance requirements.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an analytical mindset.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with industry-standard estimating software.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple estimates simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • HNC/HND or Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIBSE, CIOB) is a bonus but not essential.
