My client, a leading Property and Construction Consultancy is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Epping office.

Additionally, they were a finalist for the Construction Consultancy of the Year.

Recent projects they have delivered or are currently involved with include, Wembley Park Regeneration, Meridian Water and The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. 

Assistant or Project Quantity Surveyor Opportunity
This opportunity suits a developing individual within the Cost Management department, encompassing all technical aspects of a Quantity Surveying role, whereby they can regularly provide competency with support from more senior team members. This role is based in the Epping office, but may require regular travel to meet the demands of the projects, therefore flexibility is required.

Duties consist of, but are not limited to:
•Preparing budget estimates/cost plans
•Preparing tender documents
•Tender evaluation and report
•Interim valuations
•Cost reports and final accounts including the evaluation of Contractor’s claims
•Effective variation control
•Reporting direct to clients including presentations

Skills & Assistant or Project QS specification:
•MRICS of equivalent level qualification (or working towards)
•Degree qualified with 2+ years industry experience
•Good IT literacy, particularly in respect of preparing spreadsheets
•Excellent standards of numeracy and literacy skills
•Ability to communicate effectively at a technical level with members of the design team, other professionals in the industry and clients
•Capable of working to specific targets and timescales
•A considered approach to negotiations with contractors
•Professional, self-motivated and proactive with excellent organisational skills
•High levels of attention to detail is essential
