A great opportunity has come available with a key client for a Corporate Tax and Payment Analyst to join their central team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ensuring business compliance with VAT legislation.
  • Preparing VAT compliance materials and answer any queries to ensure the accuracy of tax returns.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met and taxes are filed correctly.
  • Identifying risk areas and escalating in order to prioritise and ensure appropriate action is taken to mitigate this.
  • Undertake annual checks of supplier VAT numbers and ensure compliance in line with legal and governance principles.
  • Annual analysis of the Corporation & VAT tax calculations.
  • Working closely with the relevant finance teams to raise tax awareness, improve and review process controls.
  • Build strong relationships across the business delivering tax audit responses when appropriate
  • Responsible for carrying out a range of corporate tax compliance and advisory work to support the effective management of the organisations corporate tax position.
Ideal candidate;
  • Professional accountancy or tax qualifications.
  • Relevant experience in an accountancy profession, large company or similar environment.
  • Excellent numerical and problem-solving skills as well as good attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of VAT (Desirable) & Corporation/Employment Tax (one or other is essential)
  • Previously worked for a facilities management provider- desirable
