Business Development Coordinator and Marketing Lead - Southampton - £25,000- £35,000 per year

We are working on behalf of a diverse Construction, and Development company who are seeking a Business Development coordinator and Marketing lead to join their office in Southampton.

The innovative company deliver modern Real Estate developments, covering Mixed Use / Mixed Tenure Development, Bespoke Private Commissions, Land promotion, planning and Support Services. They also build luxury new homes and are famous for the quality of every build. 

This is an exciting opportunity to provide project support to the Planning, New Business and Pre-construction teams within our highly successful Drew Smith Business Unit.
 
Key Responsibilities –

  • Co-ordinate the production of bid presentation materials, marketing brochures and bid brochures ensuring that the production of all submissions, complies with Company guidelines and criteria.
  • Manage all internal and external news/communications to staff/ clients/ key stakeholders
  • Liaise and work with appointed PR agency to produce external PR for industry press
  • Co-ordinate with Communication Departments within our Clients and Stakeholders such as Southampton City Council and Registered Providers
  • Develop relationships with regional press to promote the company’s sales outlet activities
  • Support the bid process by visiting our site teams and providing regular updates on site and staff activity/ updates/ photography and achievements
  • Manage their social media accounts / LinkedIn / Facebook / Twitter
  • To develop and manage our database of relevant information such as project sheets, case studies, CV’s, Health & Safety statistics etc, for retrieval together with filing of business development and marketing information. To ensure accurate and current information is held in the document library by monitoring it and updating as necessary, usually at the end of each submission.
  • Take ownership of their website co-ordinating internal departments to collate new content and keep the website up to date and current
  • Organise all corporate and external site events for our clients and stakeholders
  • Manage photography library
  • Promote the social value achievements of the business and develop relationships with schools and colleges to encourage new people to the Industry (including Women in Construction)
  • Produce monthly news stories and newsletters for internal staff
  • Produce quarterly newsletters for external clients including key stakeholders
  • Produce and manage all award entries
  • Produce and manage all marketing literature for corporate business and for individual departments where required
  • Support the Sales Department
  • Support the New Business team from a contracting and development perspective

Requirements -

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great time management
  • Knowledge or experience of PQQ and tender submission process
  • A proactive approach to develop new and efficient business practices
  • Experience of working in the construction industry
  • Attention to detail and the ability to provide a quality presentation of information
  • Ability to remain calm and work under the pressure of deadlines
  • Must have UK Driving License with own vehicle
  • Knowledge of Publisher and InDesign (desirable)
